How to cook drumsticks that do not smell like raw meat?

Everytime I cook drumsticks they smell like raw meat with blood. It tastes disgusting to me, since I do not know how to cook. Is there any way to cook drumsticks without smelling like raw meat afterward? I do not plan to use the oven, only stove. Please help me out.
