Do Democrats/Republicans realize what they are supporting for an economic plan? Keynesian or Laissez Faire?

I was shocked at the number of people that said that they are Republican but they still believe in being a "developed nation" with some taxes and social programs, just not too many. Do you not even know what the true fundamental believes of your own party are? Repub. believe in Lazzez Faire (Trickle Down/Supply Side/Reganomics) That means they want our structure to be just like Mexico. Low Taxes, No Social Programs. Basically just screw the working cl and reward the rich. Democrats believe in Keynesian Economics (bottom-up) in which you build a strong middle cl through wealth redistribution and workers rights. This is more like 20'th Century USA, Canada, Japan and every other developed nation. Do people realize what they are truly supporting?
