Abusing order of protection in illinois?

In order to get an order of protection in Illinois, you must first file an affidavit with the court as to why you need one. If you make up untrue reasons to get the order, that in itself is illegal. Secondly, any false accusations made against someone to potentially get them charged with violating an order is also illegal. Third, an order will only TEMPORARILY stop someone from retrieiving their property. After the first court date, property can be retrieved with police escort. Hope this helped.
