I am moving to Decatur

I am moving to Decatur Illinois and I am a little more than nervous. I am leaving everything I have ever known. But, I am going to the other side of my family that has not had time to get tired of me yet. Best part. I can start all over again. PLUS, if I still have the urge to join the Navy when I get there, there is a reserve unit on the main interstate! But, I just wanted to see from everyone what you thought about the apprehension. is it normal? plus what are the main things I need to be ready for and to make sure that I have when I do get to leave the nowhere town I am in now? Any opinions or help, will be of some help.
