Malawi Pea Cichlids Boring...?

Water quality is perfect, PH is at 8.0, no ammonia, 30 gallon tank with lots of stones/hidins.. I have two gorgeous Sunset Malawi Pea Cichlids in there and they do nothing but hide, ALL the time!! It's getting pretty boring to be honest.. They've been here for almost two weeks now and I'm seriously considering returning them because all they do is hide in the rocks. I have a 30 gal community tank with mollies, swordtails and rainbow fish and they are very active and fun to watch, so I'm thinking of exchanging the Cichlids for another community tank since I they are also so aggressive I can't really put anything else in there.. I was just wondering if this is normal or what?? They are the only two fish in the tank and have plenty of territories.. But they don't do anything!! All suggestions appreciated :)
