Is this a good sign?i went for an interview friday..it was short though?

i sent out a thank you card when i got home to the the person that interviewed me and he responded by saying "It was a pleasure meeting you and Mia and I were both impressed with your qualifications. We will contact you in the event that we request your services. Yours truly,John Stolar"..is this a good sign that he responded or do you think it was just a response out of politeness?...can anyone help me?...they told me that they will contact me within the weekeday to let me know but i wish i knew already.
